Parents Holz (Part 1)

Back again in sunny Tenerife!!

Not me but the parents. They never take me anywhere with them. To be honest I'm at an age now where I don't want to tag along with my parents. It's embarrassing to say the least.

My Dad has really gotten into photography these last few years or so. He takes his camera out with him on his lunch walks. I have to admit, he is quite the photographer. He's taken some exquisite pictures, ones I'm ashamed to admit I've stolen and used them on here. So any pictures you see that don't have my logo on them, yeah they would be either what my Dad has taken or my brother (I've stolen some of his as well).

These were taken last year. It's taken me this long to edit them, due to neglect mostly. I can never get in the mood to edit these days. Having been all round Leicester taking dozens of pictures of everything, there's little left out there to snap up. So I'm a little out of practise.

Silhouette

A beautiful Autumn/Winter evening spent with my favourite person in the world, at my favourite park in Leicester.

Breath-taking Bradgate

The YSA decided to take a trip up Bradgate Park one fine Sunday evening.
Never missing an opportunity to take some pictures, my camera came with me.
It was a long walk up to Old John, for me especially.
I was exhausted before we had even made it half way to the top.
The view was as beautiful as ever.

Best Of Both Worlds

Its been the Best Summer we've had in years. And I have a Brand New Camera to capture it with.
Hence the title Best Of Both Worlds.

So I started this Summer with just a small blue digital Nikon S3300 Coolpix camera, and now I have a beautiful Nikon D3000! It was just so unexpected and out of the blue. A friend of mine was selling his camera and my best friend recommended me to him. I've wanted this camera for a few years now but never had the money to buy it myself. My Dad was sweet enough to buy it for me. Thankyou so much Dad!!!

I was eager to test it out and so I spent one evening walking round the park with a few friends, taking pictures as we went. I'd asked Katie (best friend) to bring her camera, which is exactly the same as my new one, and show me how it worked and everything. Taking the same picture and then comparing the two afterwards to see how I could improve my composition and depth. I'm so grateful to have a friend with much experience in this as it helps me to understand more about her world of photography and the developing of my own. I owe it all to her. She is my inspiration!

I love my little blue Nikon camera to bits and it pains me that I won't be using it as much anymore.
But I will continue to use my old camera for holidays and other events for which a smaller camera would be easier to carry around. But for more local events I shall use my new camera.

Sunset Heaven

So for Christmas my Dad got a beaut of a camera.
And of course, being me, I wanted it.
So I took it out for a spin.

I met up with Katie J and found a great spot for taking pictures.
But we wanted more!
So on the way home we stopped by Fosse Park, and let me tell you, it was a brilliant idea.

For those who don't know me, I am a sucker for Sunsets.
I've been searching for the perfect Sunset for years. And though I haven't quite found it yet,
this comes pretty close.
